Common Objections to Taking Martial Arts Answered
SAFETY (I'll get hurt)
We are all about safety. You will learn and apply moves and techniques that can save your life as well as the lives of your loved ones. In class we use world-class 16 oz. gloves and body padding as well as floor mats when applicable. All of our students are here to help and support each other -- not hurt each other. You go at your pace, as fast or as slow as you want.
TIME (Takes too much time to train / not right time for me / schedule problem)
We have multiple classes and times; come and go at your own pace, or discuss the possibility of private lessons.
MONEY (too expensive)
The first class is free to see if you like it. The cost for most classes is around $50 a month. The average martial arts class at other systems is priced at $65-$125 a month. If you try our class for a month and it doesn't meet your expectations, then you can leave at the end of the month.
CREDIBILITY (never heard of it)
True Power Martial Arts has been around for 30 years and was developed by an ex-Navy SEAL. We have performed work sessions for the law enforcement community as well as the U.S. National Guard, and have had a class in Motorola since 1994.
I'M TOO OLD TO START
Beginners are always welcome. We work on the basics often, as well as high-level concepts, so we all learn the same material. You go at your pace, as fast or as slow as you want.
Can you afford not to be able to defend your life
or your family in a situation?
